While on holiday in Scotland last month, we visited Rob Roy's Grave in Balquhidder, and afterwards came across a quaint little tearoom which I instantly fell in love with.
Pictured above is Melanie, who kindly took a quick break from her baking to pose for a picture, apologising for the mess behind her as a result of the baking.
Every delicious bite served in the tearoom is home baked (you can even watch Melanie bake right there in front of you), and served on charmingly mismatched crockery. From the high ceilings of the old library to the fairy lights adding a touch of magic to the decor, this place is filled with charm. It's a very tiny space, with a total of five tables - my first impression upon walking in was "doll house". And between that and the delicious hot chocolate and beetroot cake (yes!), I would have been happy to return every day.
So I thought I'd share this little find with you all. And perhaps if you're ever in the Balquhidder area in Scotland, you might want to drop by this exquisite little tearoom and enjoy it for yourself!

ReplyDeleteOh your pic is making me drool. Don't know why I'm developing such a sweet tooth all of a sudden. Sweets never bothered me that much before. Maybe the fact that I had to steer clear away from sweets during my pregnancy made me all the more addicted to them. How's your pregnancy going? Are you pigging out on sweets? Be careful eh - lots of sweets = big baby.

Zen - I've almost completely LOST my sweet tooth since I got pregnant, so there really isn't any problem there!! :)
