I'm not entirely well. Seem to have caught a cold or something the day after we got back. I feel a bit better today though, thankfully. I intend to enjoy tonight fully, as hostess. Kristen and Tonio are here, though not in the house today as I need to get the place done up for tonight! Danielle arrives this afternoon and Marina and James will probably be checking in to the guest house down the road soon. We're full house over the next 2 days!!
Last night Kri, Tyn, David and I watched Spamalot and it was a laugh and a half. Pity it closes on 3rd Jan!

- Clare is a happily married twenty-something mother to Emily. When she's not singing nursery rhymes and changing nappies, she's being a proper little housewife and attempting to cook or bake. Sometimes it works out. But let's just say she's better at shopping.
Malta Piccies
I've just uploaded all the Malta pics. For a change I didn't end up with a gazillion albums lol.
Wanna see piccies?

I shall now go and do my facendi before Kristen and Tonio arrive tonight!! :)

Back!
So we're back from an 8-day stint in Malta. I sit here, now, shivering like a leaf. I was amazed at how used to the cold I seemed to be in Malta. Didn't quite feel what everyone else referred to as 'freezing' weather. I loved the feeling of cool, tolerable air. But it seems that I adjusted to the non-biting-cold a bit too much and I must now readjust.
The holiday was great. Some downs, but mostly ups - really really great ups! I'll go into more detail perhaps tomorrow, but meanwhile suffice to say I have the greatest friends in the world and I am grateful for every minute I got to spend with them! x

Let's Try Again
Ugh why did I get into it?!?! I changed my email address in an attempt to get used to my new name a bit more. We're not getting too far too quick. I figured that maybe if I let go of identity past, I could accept identity new, thus the new email address. It's such balls to change everything over. And I have to keep switching back to the old account because I'd have forgotten to transfer something or other. I feel like I've wasted a whole day.
It also seems that I am stuck with the annoying '@googlemail.com' for an address instead of the neat and tidy '@gmail.com', even though the latter works anyway (so that will be how I'll be using it). So why lengthen it?! I found out after I created the email account that it's only the UK and a few other countries that are stuck with '@googlemail.com'. Had I read that 2 minutes earlier, I'd have opened the account from Malta or simply gotten someone there to do it for me. Not impressed.

X Factor
Sharon, mostly posting this for your benefit, just in case you haven't been following. Alexandra won this year's X Factor, see videos below and tell me if she doesn't make your hair stand up and your eyes tear up xx
Day Out
Yesterday was fantastic. I went into London, with backpack and camera, feeling a bit like a tourist. It was fun. I met Alessa and we went to the German Christmas Market in Hyde Park together. She was a student of mine in Malta in 2003! We've kept in touch and have finally met up once she's in London until next week.

I'd never tasted mulled wine before. I loved it. And proceeded to drink too much of it and was left huccupping for the rest of the night in a weird state of drunkenness.

Later on, dropped by LSSE to meet the girls for dinner. We went to Nando's where the service was not exactly impressive but it didn't stop us from having a good time :)

The First Day
I've been pretty nervous all weekend about getting bored and the days dragging by when I have no work to go to, but if half of the days are like today, I know I'm gonna be fine. Got up late (oops, not part of the Great Plan!) and then went to the post office to send off some ebay items, to the bank to change my name on the account, booked an appointment for the boiler to be serviced, wrote letters to all service providers etc to have my name changed on those accounts too, wrote all my Christmas cards... stuff like that. More planned for tomorrow. I'm quite enjoying this.
